Axle leaking

Leaking rear axle - fixed 3 times, still leaking. What the HECK!!! Just got the trany and the Rear end changed over to Sythetic fluids. While doing that, found out AGAIN, my left rear axle drum area is showing signs of leaking gear lube. After the third time service (replacing seal), this is getting to be more of an a$$ pain than a charm....

2018. Engine. 6.7 Cummins. I was replacing the diff fluid in the rear of my 2018 Ram 2500 on Wednesday and happened to glance up and notice oil sling on the inside passenger front tire. Upon inspection I see a decent amount of oil buildup on the u-joint and it appears to be coming from the axle tube. It looks like I have an axle seal leaking.Synthetic is also much thinner which results in more seal seepage/leakage. I run and suggest Torco non synthetic in the 85w140 RGO. (Currie and Dynatrac suggest this) I was actually getting seepage of synthetic through the rosette welds and tube/case junction on my rear diff and it has ended once I switched to the Torco.

Support the vehicle with both front wheels off the ground. Remove the wheels and axle hub/seal assembly. Remove the vacuum disconnect on the passenger side of the axle, if so equipped. Lift the rear of the truck to take the weight off the wheels. Remove both rear wheels. Remove all 8 bolts holding the axle in place. Remove the hub retaining hardware. Slide off the hub/drum assembly. You'll find the rear axle seal on the backside of the hub assembly.
