They generally do not like sharing a space with other cats unless they were bonded as kittens. And you are correct, there should be one litter box per cat, and if they aren't cleaned frequently enough (at least once a day) the cats may simply refuse to use them. This is a health hazard.

It doesn't matter how small the dog or the wound is, if you have an animal that makes it unsafe for you to be at home, doing anything the animal is the problem. No, the owner is the problem for not investing in training for the dog. The owners clearly have zero experience.
