Basically when you take the coolant out air gets in the motor. When you refill and let run the thermostats open at 180 degrees. Then the coolant goes through the motor and pushs the air out. Thats a burp!.

Burping coolant does not require the coolant to get hot -- it just has to be moving quickly, which requires some real RPMs, which generates heat. I don't know how that is gonna burp your system but it does not work unless you have the kind of radiator that you leave air at the top (no overflow).
