847 posts · Joined 2007. #2 · Dec 6, 2008. I am 95% sure you need to remove the belt molding. Be VERY careful doing that cause they tend to hold water n rust to the retaining "clips". I got that info from a body shop 2 weeks ago, cause I wanna replace mine also. There is a special tool to remove the belt molding.With a very inexpensive tool called, you guessed it, a "windshield moulding removal tool". Most good parts stores or autobody supply stores will have one for about $10.00 max. Brian .
