Hi lor5th, I took my 2010 LXP to local shop. Shop guy seems to be gentleman. He test drove the car. I have these vibrations while applying brakes as well as acceleration at high speeds. His recommendation is to replace 2 front rotors and CV Axle replacement. He asked me $265 for brake rotors and $400 for CV Axle.aftermarkets use solid axles while OEMs are hollow and thus the rotational inertia would be different. OEMs use balancing weights in the center with a rubber disc clamped to the shaft. aftermarket parts use lower quality materials. aftermarket axles present shorter lifetimes. aftermarket axles use less grease.Gorilla and Turner axles are far stronger than OEM and take much higher angles, but if your ripping boots and getting them full of mud and contaminants your going to break any axle. Unfortunately, almost all aftermarket CV axles are made by the same couple of companies with most having problems. I would look for remanufactured axels from cardone. Their remanufactured axels have a fairly good reputation and they are the same as the remanufactured Napa MaxDrive axels.
