Another port is located behind the distributor, right on top the main block rail (where the intake seals to the block), towards the drivers-side. This is the port used for cars with center console oil guages. You'll have to take the distributor out to get to it. Mike.I have a 2014 Silverado 5.3 with the exact same problem. In heavy city traffic on a hot day with long stoplights sometimes requiring 3 to 4 rotations to get through them the outlet oil temps will go to 240 with pan temps at 200-210. Temp sensor should be on the drivers side head near #3 spark plug. Oil sender should be above the oil filter , with an 1/8 inch pipe plug. Some big blocks have the temp sensor in the intake near the thermostat. I don't recall any big blocks with the oil sensor behind the distributor!! Like.
